Abstract

296Wireless communications have become an essential part of modern daily life. Starting with traditional voice communications, currently, cellular mobile operators provide high-speed Internet access, file exchange, multimedia communications, video conference services, and online gaming almost anywhere at anytime. It is believed that all wireless nodes/terminals will soon be connected to each other via a common platform such as Internet protocol (IP) network leading to novel concepts and paradigms such as Internet of things (IoT), Internet of everything (IoE), and cyber-physical systems including smart cities, infrastructures, and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) platforms [1].
