Abstract

Tribenzo-18-crown-6 binds two acetonitrile ligands, i.e. C₂₄H₂₄O₆·2C₂ H₃N, one to each face of the crown ring. The crown conformation is relatively low in energy, but does not appear optimized for cation binding. Few significant inter-molecular interactions are observed.
