Abstract
Minimally adhesive polymer surfaces are developed. Discerning compositional and morphological features which create a surface unattractive to the settlement of marine organisms are described. Initial work on a filled crosslinked network, RTV11, is reported. Processing conditions which affect wettability of fully cured RTV11 are evaluated. The observed surface erosion and roughening observed for RTV11 coatings is detrimental to performance as a fouling release surface.
