Abstract

The thermo-mechanical properties and microstructure of silicon carbide composites were studied. Silicon carbide composites were produced through transient liquid-phase sintering process and nano-infiltrated transient eutectoid process. The silicon carbide composites produced, showed strength, fracture behavior, thermal conductivity and microstructure for applications in fusion blankets.
