N2 - Thermal expansion of U0.7Pu0.3O2-x (x = 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03) and U0.52Pu0.48O2.00 was investigated by a unique dilatometry which measured in an oxygen partial pressure-controlled atmosphere. The oxygen partial pressure was controlled to hold a constant oxygen-to-metal ratio in the (U,Pu)O2-x during the measurement. Thermal expansion slightly increased with the decrease in oxygen-to-metal ratio. We proposed a relationship to describe thermal expansion as a function of temperature, O/M and Pu content.
