Abstract
A two-peak feature in the thermal conductivity, κ(T), and 89Y NMR results, including a shallow minimum of T1, indicate strong copper spin correlations in the spin-chain compound Ca 2+xY2-xCu5O10 at temperatures well above the previously assumed exchange coupling strength, |J/kB| = 25-80 K.
