Abstract
It has been found that the form of a low-frequency boson peak in Raman scattering is universal for glasses of different chemical composition. It is shown that from the form of the boson peak one can determine the structural correlation function, i.e. the character of violations of ordered arrangement of atoms within several coordination spheres in non-crystalline solids.
