Abstract
Neutron powder diffraction has been used to study the structural and magnetic transitions in metallic CrN and the isostructural solid solutions (Cr1-xMox)N. In particular, precise high resolution measurements have revealed subtle anisotropic lattice parameter behaviour in the previously well characterised antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic transition of pure CrN.
