The Japanese society for neutron science meets

Abstract

From December 9-10, 2002, the Japanese Society for Neutron Science (JSNS) held its second annualmeeting in Kumatori, Osaka. Kumatori, located close to the Kyoto University Reactor (KUR) and very close to the Kansai International Airport, is one of the centers of neutron research in Japan. A total of 234 participants, including 204 out of 530 active members, gathered for two days. This represents an increase of 17 participants when compared to the first meeting in Sendai, heldlast year. The Organizing Committee Chairman was Prof. Toshiharu Fukunaga (KUR) and the committee consisted mostly of the staff of KUR. The Kumatori Town Office generously supported the meeting.
