Abstract

The developments in South Eastern Europe (SEE) related to the design and implementation of a regional electric utility teleinformation (TI) systems were discussed. The capacity requirements were determined based on the exchange of real-time, exchange of mode, voice traffic, management and accounting data. An allowance was also made for the extra traffic that would result from the development of a Southeast Europe regional electricity market (SEE REM). The advantages of TI system proposed for the SEE countries in the reconnection of the UCTE, and in the development of a regional electricity market (REM) were also analyzed.
