Abstract

Effect of pentadecyl-tetracyanoquinodimethane (C15-TCNQ) on conductivity and electronic absorption spectra in polyaniline (PANI) films prepared by adsorption at solid-liquid interfaces and by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) deposition technique were studied. Direct measurements of the d.c. conductivity of the films prepared showed that the transition into conductive phase in PANI is strongly retarded in the presence of amphiphilic TCNQ derivative.
