Abstract
We performed neutron scattering and μSR measurements on La1.875Ba0.125-xSrxCuO4 in order to investigate the structural effect on the stability of magnetic order. Onset temperature of magnetic order seen by μSR measurement is lower than that by neutron scattering and shows an anomalous reduction at the structural phase boundary from low-temperature less-orthorhombic structure with Pccn symmetry to low-temperature orthorhombic phase upon increasing x. On the other hand, ordering temperature as a function of x obtained by neutron scattering changes continuously irrespective of the crystal structure. These results suggest difference of dynamical nature of Cu spins between these crystal structures.
