Abstract
We found CeCuGa to be a heavy fermion compound with orthorhombic structure of CeCu2 type. In this report, we present the measurements of its resistivity from 0.5K to 300K and of specific heat from 1.5K to 30K. The temperature dependence of resistivity shows Kondo behavior below 30K. The specific heat above 10K is well fitted by a sum of the electron contribution γT and the phonon contribution βT2, whereas the ratio C/T remarkably increase below 10K and is also well fitted by γ + β T2 with a huge γ value 1.46J/K2.mol below 2K, that is a typically of heavy fermion behavior.
