Abstract

BNFL has been responsible for designing the loading patterns for Sizewell B PWR to satisfy the basic fuel management requirements of Nuclear Electric. This paper describes the development of the fuel management schemes for cycles 1-4 and how any ensuing problems were addressed. The paper concludes with a look at the options for the future fuel management strategy of Sizewell B.
