Abstract
The Monte Carlo simulations were used to characterize irreversibilities of the random-field Ising model (RFIM) order parameters. Latent heat is never observed in RFIM specific heat measurements. On reversing the temperature in the phase transition (ZFC) procedure, hysteresis in the Bragg-scattering intensity was observed. The specific heat and order parameters show striking hysteresis upon cooling through the transition in the applied field.
