Sans investigations of topological constraints and microscopic deformation in polymer networks

Abstract

The microscopic deformation of network chains in cross-linked rubbers under strain is addressed by small angle neutron scattering (SANS) on labelled paths in a network. The experimental results sustain the contribution of tube constraints to the rubber elasticity in networks.
