Abstract

This paper describes a comparison of seven laboratories in Australia and New Zealand, and one US laboratory, involved in testing thermal properties of materials. The primary objective of this Round Robin was to establish or confirm what degree of confidence can be placed in measurements by the various laboratories in this region. It was carried out using two industrial insulant products which were premeasured. Three samples were sent to each participant, who each conducted four thermal resistance measurements. Results were typically within ±6% of the mean value, with a worst-case difference of -15.5% from the mean value.
