Abstract
A new critical evaluation and optimization of the unary, binary, and ternary ZrO2-containing systems within the CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-ZrO2 system was performed using all the experimental data available in the literature and new phase diagram experimental data obtained from this study. The optimized thermodynamic model parameters will be incorporated to the commercial FactSage database to improve the accuracy of thermodynamic calculations required for the fabrication of corrosion-resistant refractories at high temperatures.
