N2 - Electric stimulation is a healing therapy that treating muscle spasms and pain by using an electrical pulses. This therapy is helpful in keeping muscles active especially after any type of spinal cord injury or stroke. Electrical stimulation devices are generally employed for treating nerve disorders, muscle fatigue etc., either in invasive or non-invasive approach. The major objective of this study is to present a complete overview of electrical stimulation techniques in rehabilitation engineering. This review aims to comprehend the complete potential of electrical stimulation and finding its possible benefits or limitations according to the muscle properties. This paper is also intended to give more insight on electrical stimulation used recently.
