Abstract

The effect of the dispersive properties of media on the photodetection experiments, where the photon pairs are produced ultrashort laser pulses, was calculated. It was shown that, though the broad spectrum carried by a short pulse results in reduced dispersion cancellation, special cases were found that permit cancellation efforts to be maintained with a broadband source. The techniques for recovering interference in coincidence-counting experiments were also described.
