Abstract

The structural relaxation behavior of a strong glass former B2O3 was investigated using depolarized light scattering. The fast relaxation contribution was related to the vibrational mode damping which revealed some crossover of the damping rate at the same Tc temperature as the crossover of the fast relaxation dynamics itself. The variations were related to the temperature dependence of the relative strength of the fast relaxation.
