Abstract

Lifetimes of ten excited states in 22Na, 22Ne, 30P and 30Si have been remeasured by the recoildistance method. The values of the mean lives obtained are as follows: 22Na(0.89 MeV): τ = 15.4 ± 0.6 ps; 22Na(1.53 MeV): τ = 5.37 ± 0.27 ps; 22Na(1.98 MeV): τ = 2.46 ± 0.22 ps; 22Na(2.21 MeV): τ = 21.2 ± 0.8 ps; 22Na(2.57 MeV): τ = 8.09 ± 0.45 ps; 22Ne(1.28 MeV): τ = 5.62 ± 0.20 ps; 30P(0.71 MeV): τ = 49.1 ± 1.2 ps; 30P(1.45 MeV): τ = 6.01 ± 0.23 ps; 30P(1.97 MeV): τ = 3.13 ± 0.35 ps; and 30Si(3.79 MeV): τ = 12.5 ± 0.9 ps. These results are discussed and compared to previous measurements.
