Abstract

Reaction of lithium oxide with solutions of uranium tetrachloride was studied in LiCl (at 750 °C) and LiCl- KCl (at 550 and 750 °C) based melts. The effect of the initial Li2O: UCl4 molar ratio on degree of uranium precipitation, phase composition and particle size of the precipitates was determined.
