Abstract

Results are presented tor store separation analyses using unstructured Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and are compared to wind tunnel data for two store and parent vehicle geometries. Captive and trajectory cases are computed, and the requirements for full trajectory simulation are assessed. The CFD tool applied is SPLITFLOW, a Cartesian-based, unstructured, adaptive, Euler/Navier-Stokes solver.
