Abstract

The Raman spectroscopy of silver pertechnetate was studied. It was observed that the compound AgTcO₄ contains close Ag-O contacts. The results showed a reduction in the Tc-O stretching frequencies on changing the pertechnetate counter-cation from K⁺ to Ag⁺.
