Abstract

A quantum chemical model is proposed for the adsorption of organic molecules on metal surfaces in electrolyte solutions. This approach is based on the method of electrostatic images modified for the case of a double electrical layer within the framework of the PPP method. The calculated data are in good accord with the available experimental results.
