Abstract

A prototype `electron lens' for the Tevatron beam-beam compensation project is commissioned at Fermilab. The major components and systems of the `electron lens' include the electron gun, electron collector, modulator, power supplies, magnetic system, vacuum system and control system. The complete set-up, the results of the first test of the electron beam, and future plans are discussed.
