Abstract
Results obtained with an unprecedented setup for high-resolution in-beam particle-γγ coincidence spectroscopy were presented. The setup allowed the observation of five prompt proton decays which connected five states in three rotational bands in 59Cu with three spherical states in 58Ni. In two cases, multiple proton lines were identified, and their respective relative yields provided sensitive probes of the wave function composition of states of the bands in 59Cu.
