Abstract
The two excited well-deformed bands in the semi-magic nucleus 58Ni was investigated. The prompt discrete α-decay branch from a well-deformed state in the second minimum of the nucleus 58Ni into spherical 2949 keV 6+ yrast state in the daughter nucleus 54Fe is presented. The spin, parity, and excitation energies of the deformed band in 58Ni are discussed using γ-ray linking transitions via some parallel paths.
