Abstract

ORNL has an inventory of unique material being held for potential reuse because of its potential intrinsic value to DOE - The facilities used to produce the materials have been shut down, and many can never be produced again - Many of these items currently have no defined use ORNL has an initiative underway to define programmatic users for the materials and process, repackage, and stage them for distribution to users - New facilities are being constructed to support these activities as needed As a last resort, steps are being taken to process the materials with no programmatic user identified for waste disposal as CH-TRU and RH-TRU.
