Funding
This work was partially funded under U.S. Department of Energy contract #257567, managed by the Idaho National Laboratory for NASA’s Space Nuclear Propulsion (SNP) project in the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD). The fuel development was funded by Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation. The authors would like to acknowledge the overview and review process established by NASA and thank all contributors to that process.
