Abstract
The possibility of testing the S- and D-wave deuteron wave functions on the basis of polarization features of nucleons from the reaction d(x, x)np is considered. The polarization of protons from the reaction d(K*, K*)pn is calculated in a model approach that takes into account the off-mass-shell properties of the K̄N-scattering amplitudes and which assumes the dominance of the pole mechanisms. It is found that this approach is inapplicable to antikaon-induced reactions.
