Abstract

PdCuH and PdAgH ordered phases, synthesized under a high pressure of gaseous hydrogen, were studied by inelastic neutron scattering. The results showed a large difference between the Pd{single bond}H, Cu{single bond}H and Ag{single bond}H interactions. Values of 93 and 116 meV were predicted for the local H vibrations in dilute Ag{single bond}H and Cu{single bond}H solid solutions, respectively.
