Abstract
The objective of this study was to examine the patterns and determinants of intra-industry trade in textiles. The analysis was based on the trade patterns of thirty-nine countries for nine three-digit SITC textile industries. Two samples of countries were used. Sample 1 included twenty-one developing and eighteen developed countries while Sample 2 was confined to the eighteen developed countries. The years selected for analysis were 1977,1982, and 1987.
