Abstract
A brief characterization of peculiarities and composition of mineral-inclusions in diamonds from the Botuobinskaya kimberlite pipe is given. Inclusions are represented by silicates, oxides and sulfides, the latter being dominant. According to the ratio of silicate and oxide inclusion minerals as well as sulfides composition, eclogite paragenesis of inclusions makes more than half of all analyzed crystals. The obtained data indicate the difference of the diamond-formation medium, which was the diamond source for Nakynsky field kimberlites and confirm the conclusion of specific composition of the lithosphere mantle in this region.
