Abstract

In this investigation, the propagation characteristics and interaction of ion acoustic multisolitons in an unmagnetized plasma composed of fluid positive ions, negative ions, a positive ion beam, and superthermal electrons have been examined. The Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation is formulated using the reductive perturbation approach. To obtain the KdV multisolitons' solution, Hirota's approach is used and the phase shift resulting from the multisolitons overtaking is determined. The influence of the ion beam, superthermality of electrons, and other relevant plasma parameters on the properties of ion acoustic solitons is examined.
