Abstract
The spectral properties of the linear monoenergetic transport operator with isotropic scattering are considered for a slab with diffuse reflection at the boundaries. It is found that the left half-plane is fully covered by spectrum and in the right half-plane the point spectrum contains at least a real eigenvalue (the trivial one) to which the constant eigenvector corresponds.
