Abstract

Using synchrotron x-ray scattering, 180°C stripe domains were observed in sub-50-nm-thick epitaxial films of PbTiO₃. Observation was made as the sample is cooled from above T_C to room temperature. Films with thicknesses from 1.6 to 42 nm were used.
