Abstract
This talk is devoted to the presentation of recent achievements in a study of short-lived isomeric states in fragmentation-like reactions at intermediate energies as well as to the comparison of experimental results with shell model calculations. Perspectives of this kind of research using new experimental techniques are briefly discussed.
