Abstract
Novel, photon counting x-ray detectors were described which are significantly less prone to discharges and can achieve high gas gains at high counting rates. The thin resistive layer was used on the anode. It was found that spatial resolution and the count rate capabilities were 130-150 μm and 5 × 107 Hz/mm2, respectively.
