Abstract

The dynamic characteristics of ion acoustic (IA) shock structures are investigated in an unmagnetized relativistic plasma in the presence of two temperature q-nonextensive trapped electrons. The reductive perturbation method has been employed to derive the trapped Korteweg-de Vries Burgers (KdVB) equation. The impact of various plasma parameters on the characteristics of IA shock waves is elaborated in weakly relativistic plasma. The results obtained in the present investigation may be useful in comprehending a variety of phenomena in various regions of Earth's magnetosphere, Van-Allen radiation belts etc.
