Abstract

The principal parameters on Mega-Amp Spherical Tokamak (MAST) were discussed. Results on H-mode access, global confinement and pedestal studies were presented and compared with conventional aspect ratio tokamak scalings. Results provided an excellent platform for further input to key International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) physics studies and issues of specific relevance to the viability of the spherical tokamak (ST) concept.
