Abstract

Nanophase-separated structures of the ABC star-shaped terpolymers were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The polymer samples are composed of polyisoprene (PI), polystyrene (PS) and poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P2VP); their volume ratios of PI: PS: P2VP are 1: 1.8: X, i.e., I 1S 1.8P x. A hierarchical lamellar structure including cylindrical domains of PI in matrix of PS have been found for the sample I 1S 1.8P 5.0.
