Abstract

This paper introduces a framework for the model-based testing and evaluation (MBTE) of indoor VOC emission sources and their impact on indoor air quality. It covers the fundamental concepts, physics-based source models of VOC emissions from building materials, methods for the determination of the model parameters, and application examples.
