Abstract
This paper reports the recent progress in the conceptual design of MEIC, a highluminosity polarized medium energy ring-ring electron-ion collider at JLab. The topics andachievements covered are the design of the ion large booster and the ERL circulator-ringbased electron cooling facility, integration of designs of detector and interactionregions, optimization of chromatic corrections and dynamic aperture studies, and the schemeand simulations of lepton and light ion polarization in the figure-8 rings. A proposal of atest facility for the MEIC electron cooler is also discussed.
