Measuring with light, Part 2: Fiber-optic sensing - from theory to practice

Research output: Contribution to specialist publicationArticle

Abstract

Fiber-optic sensors range in sophistication, expense, and ease of use from simple intensity-modulating schemes to complex and sensitive phase-modulating sensors. For the past two decades, developments of fiber-optic sensors has led to devices and systems that can measure more than 60 different parameters.
