Abstract
Measurements have been made of the response of a 3He-filled ionisation chamber to monoenergetic neutrons in the energy range from 2.1 to 3.02 MeV. The full-energy peak and the wall effect in the measured pulse height spectra have been fitted and energy-dependent descriptions of the spectral shape and the detector efficiency have been derived for the complete range of interest.
