N2 - Two 3He ionisation chambers were used at the Joint European Torus (JET) to measure neutron energy spectra for discharges in which deuterium neutral beams were injected into deuterium plasmas. By comparing the measured spectra with theoretical calculations, the fraction of the total neutron yield due to thermonuclear reactions was deduced. Calculated thermonuclear fractions agree well with the experimental results.
