Abstract
Neutron inelastic scattering experiments were performed on the quasi-one-dimensional magnet Ca2Y2Cu5O10, which consists of the ferromagnetic edge-sharing CuO2 chains. The magnetic excitation peak width in energy becomes broader with increasing Q along the chain although sharp excitations are observed around the zone center and perpendicular to the chain. We revealed that the anomalous magnetic excitation spectra are caused mainly by the antiferromagnetic interchain interactions.
