Lutetium based oxides as new laser crystal hosts at cryogenic temperatures

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

The crystal growth, rare earth doping and spectroscopy of lutetium based oxide crystals (Lu3Al5O12 and Lu2O3) is described, with a goal toward designing more effective high power lasers, especially at cryogenic temperatures.
